I was brought on as a consultant to stabilize and rescue a struggling project for Mars Veterinary Health. After evaluating the team structure, workflow, and our client’s needs, I transitioned the design organization from a global agency model of 23 designers across five time zones into a focused, local eight person team operating with a startup mindset. Each designer owned two verticals and was embedded directly within product teams to bridge communication gaps between engineering and stakeholders through rapid, iterative design. Once the program stabilized, we shifted toward simplifying the design system, developing a tone of voice, accessibility, documenting design standards, and expanding the platform into mobile applications.
